A New Era in 2008

Hello there. 2008 is almost here and this means there are a lot of new things to explore. One of the biggest things for me to explore is where God wants me as pertaining to "singles ministry". I am a member of the Bammel Church of Christ in Houston, Texas and I am currently a part of the Bammel Young Professionals/Singles ministry. Our numbers are down and I believe that our group is at a crossroads heading into 2008. I read an interesting article on how to minister to single Christians and I found it very interesting to say the least. It's opened my eyes to some new possibilities and it has also made me aware of the things that our group has done in the past and is doing today. I don't know what God has in store for this group in '08, but I hope and pray that we will continue to be a force for His kingdom. Peace out!

My Christmas

Hello again. Christmas has come and gone for another year and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Christmas for me was smaller than years past, but fun. I received a lot of clothes, a new and even bigger grill, courtesy of George Foreman, and I received some other gifts. one gift that I enjoy receiving all year round is the grace and peace that God has given me through our Lord Jesus Christ. My prayer is that this gift be shared year round especially as we head into 2008. Peace.

Christmastime

Season's Greetings all happy people or blogger ville. I just love Christmas. I am beginning to understand the true meaning of the season, the birth of Jesus Christ and all He has done in my life. In fact, someone at my church told me how good it is to be a member of my church. I said humbly, that this was my home away from home and I would not want to be anywhere else. By the way, if you like Christmas movies, than you need to either rent, or buy Elf. This movie cracked me up from beginning to end. This is the first Will Ferrell movie that I have seen that I can feel comfortable about(considering his other movies will make you want to cringe due to its content). I hope all of you have a great Christmas!! Peace.

"White Elepahnt" exchange

Hello all you happy people. I am starting to become a fan of "White Elephant" gift exchanges. If you don't know what that means, Google it or go to Wikipedia. One thing I like about it is that you never know exactly what you're going to get(kind of like "Forrest Gump"). I enjoyed it. I can only imagine what our group at my church is going to come up with if anything. That's it from me. Peace and much love.

GIVING AT ALL TIMES

Hello all you happy people out there in cyberspace. I attend Bammel Church of Christ in Houston, Texas(http://www.bammel.org) where I've really gotten something out of the lessons that are being taught on Wednesday nights. I am currently enjoying the lessons with the Bammel youth group in a session called Graceland. Last night, I really enjoyed the discussion that I facilitated on the concept of giving at Christmastime. I love to give, especially if I don't have anymore use for it. Hopefully if you can give of your financial resources(cheerfully, of course), time, or stuff you no longer need, you'll realize that you will be doing it unto Jesus(Matt. 25:35-40), but you'll get blessed beyond measure. Merry Christmas from tha Dogg.
